After months of hard work and after hours of programming we are ready to release some new features.
First and foremost we introduced the possibility of polling an entire set sequentially. Until now it was not easy to watch all polls of a certain user, or all the popular polls, because the polling algorithm always picked a new random poll. Since this release you can start polling a set from any explore page available (explore new polls, explore popular polls, explore one user's polls).
Once you've started polling a set you'll notice the set component on the right side where you'll see small thumbs indicating the previous and next polls. You can fast forward if you don't like them or want to preview the upcoming ones. At the top of the component you can quit the set anytime to return to the random polling algorithm.
Another new feature is the user history overview where you can see the latest comments and favourites on your polls (or another user's polls). Simply go to your pickapoll account and choose 'History'. This is very handy to follow the activity on your polls. You can also choose to be notified by mail of new activity on your polls (once a day or once a week).
There's more! Since this release you can also specify the poll categories and questions that you want to see, just choose "Select categories and questions" on the left, we remember your selections so the next time you visit us it will still be there.
But that's still not all:
- In the poll info you can see how many users keep the poll as a favourite, just click through to see who these users are.
- We've made it possible to search users (simply type your search word in the field and enter, you'll get a list of the matching polls and users).
- And the homepage got a facelift!
